Send us a photo of your papercrafted artwork and win Close To My Heart products!
Close To My Heart is pleased to announce that the National Papercrafting Month celebration includes a contest. Send us photos of your papercrafted item and you could win! Read on for more information about the contest!
What are the details?
This contest focuses on items that can be made using Close To My Heart products and papers. These might include the My Creations™ Mini Album, Artboard, Display Album, Circle Album, Memory Showcase, or Memory Keeper box; the Braggin’ Tags™ Mini Album; the Monthly Calendar; or other products of your choice.
The base of the papercrafted project can include products that are not sold by Close To My Heart (e.g. a lunch box, clock, yard sign, etc.), but all paper, inks, stamps, and embellishments must be Close To My Heart product.
Papers used in contest entries do not have to be the Key To My Heart Level 2 paper packet; they may be any Close To My Heart papers you wish to use. Decorate them to your heart’s content—then let us see what you’ve done!
How do I enter?
Send us up to three photos of your original artwork, ensuring that the photo(s) adequately showcase the papercrafted item you are submitting. Email the photos to ctmhoffice@closetomyheart.com with “National Papercrafting Month Contest” in the subject line. Please note what category you are entering and provide your contact information. Contact information should include your name, a contact phone number, and an email address.
What are the categories I may enter?
Because of the wide variety of papercrafted projects you could make, the contest will be divided into three categories of items by size: small (6″ × 6″ or smaller), medium (between 6″ × 6″ and 12″ × 12″), and large (anything larger than 12″ × 12″). You may submit only one entry per size category (small, medium, or large).
What should my papercrafted artwork include?
Entries can use any Close To My Heart paper packet, including the exclusive Key to My Heart paper packet, and must use only Close To My Heart products for embellishing the artwork.
The base product (e.g. a lunch box, clock, yard sign, mini album, calendar, etc.) for the papercrafted item can include items that are not exclusive to Close To My Heart. But of course, we would love it if you used some of our products as the base. You might consider using the My Creations™ Mini Album, Artboard, Display Album, Circle Album, Memory Showcase, or Memory Keeper box; the Braggin’ Tags™ Mini Album; the Monthly Calendar; or any other products of your choice!
When is the deadline?
The contest begins December 16, 2008 and runs through mid-February 2009. The deadline for emailing your photo entries to us is 12:00 Midnight (MT) on February 15, 2009.
Who can enter?
Anyone can enter! You may submit only one entry per size category (small, medium, or large).
When will finalists be announced?
The Close To My Heart judges will select five finalists in each category, and the finalists will be contacted no later than February 20, 2009. Each finalist will receive a free My Acrylix® stamp set of their choice (excluding Stamp of the Month, E-size, or K-size [customized] sets).
Finalists will be required to mail in their entries in order to be considered for grand prize recognition. The finalist entries will be returned to the entrants after the grand prize winners are announced.
What is the grand prize?
One grand prize will be awarded in each size category (small, medium, or large) from the five finalists. The grand prize winner in each of the three categories will receive the winner’s choice of Close To My Heart products valued at up to $300 US.
What are the fine print/legal rules for this contest?
By sending in your entries, you agree to allow Close To My Heart to reproduce, photograph, and/or publish the winning entries in any medium that Close To My Heart deems appropriate, without further permission and without compensation beyond the contest prize. All submissions must be your original artwork.
